El Nido, Palawan is a very small town as it is. El Nido Town Proper, which I consider as the "downtown" of El Nido is even smaller. You won't find cars or taxis here, instead tricycles are main mode of transportation because of the narrow streets. I totally loved it because it's exactly how I wanted to experience Philippines. I felt the life of Filipinos and culture as I roam around the town. The best time to come to El Nido is during high season (Jan-Apr). I went during low season (August). Not only it was cheaper, I also got to see the other side of its beauty. Yea, it was clear, blue skies, and sunny on certain days. However, it was also overcast, rainy, and cloudy. Some may think this is lame, but it was such a cool thing to see the clouds roll over the rock formations which made the foliage greener.
