Cask and Barrel recently opened about two months ago in Sacramento, CA. This place is very small and probably seats less than fifty people. This place is not your ordinary southern food restaurant. I would consider it in a higher or fancier class of southern food. I had the pork shoulder, roasted cauliflower and brussel sprouts and mac and cheese. The pork shoulder was cooked perfectly and paired deliciously with the sauces. I am not a big fan of brussel sprouts, but this dish made me think twice. Lastly, you can never go wrong with mac and cheese with bacon.
