Tim Ho Wan is another chain restaurant in Taipei, which serves dim sum. I went to the main restaurant located next to Taipei Main Station.
I was so used to dim sum being carted around and picking the dishes that looks appetizing, but I was a bit disappointed when this restaurant didn't have that. Tim Ho Wan has about fifteen dim sum dishes on the menu. I ordered the following: bbq baked bun, shumai (pork dumpling with shrimp), vermicelli roll with beef, and chicken feet. I'm not a fan of chicken feet so, my bf was the verdict on that one. They were big and not as good compared to the ones in California. My favorite has always been (and always will be) the baked bun, shumai, and vermicelli roll. All were delicious, but the baked bun was by far the best one I've had. As I took a bite of the bun, the flakiness and softness felt like heaven in my mouth. The shredded bbq filling was full of flavor and kept me wanting for more!
I would definitely come back here just for some freshly made bbq baked buns.
