If you're a history junkie, this is where you can get your dose of history. First stop was Fuerza de San Pedro (Fort San Pedro). This is a military defense built by the Spanish during the 17th century and it is the oldest triangular bastion fort in the Philippines.
Second stop is the Heritage of Cebu Monument where encompasses all the events that occurred during the Spanish era. Located in small park across the oldest fire station in the Philippines. It shows the arrival of the Portuguese explorer, Ferdinand Magellan, the presence of Christianity, Battle of Mactan which was led by Lapu Lapu, and a statue of the first president, Manuel Quezon.
Lastly, I visited that Lapu Lapu Shrine. He is a native leader who defeated the Spanish soldiers during the Battle of Mactan.
