This is the first "skybar" established in Saigon. The rooftop bar is on the 25th floor of the New World Building. It's a perfect way to watch the sunset and sip on some drinks.
It is also a club at night, but the best time to come is during happy hour (17:30-20:00) when the drinks and some appetizers are half off.
I suggest coming a couple minutes before happy hour starts to snag a table.
Lavastone is a Japanese BBQ restaurant in District 1. It just opened in 2015 and they are already making some noise in town. I didn't come to eat, but I was enticed by the "happy hour" sign outside of the restaurant. I was expecting to just have a few beers, but was introduced to eclectic cocktails instead.
I was introduced to drinks that were sweet and sour, with a hint of uniqueness. You'll be intrigued by the cocktails that are served in a copper glass and sashimi or smoked cocktails. Lavastone has definitely upped the cocktail game.
This brewing company is the first real craft brewery in Vietnam located in Saigon, District 1. Owned by Americans, you will not be disappointed by the beer selections. The entrance is a little tucked away in an alley, but just be sure to follow the signs. It is pricier compared to local beer, but quality is what matters the most. If you're looking for some craft beers, this is the perfect place for you!
