Stay: A Relaxing Hotel in Puerto Princesa

Last year, I stayed a night in Puerto Princesa to catch a flight back to Manila. There are tons of vans that provide transportation to and from El Nido. The driver dropped off each passenger at their designated hotel in Puerto Princesa. This hotel and it's wide-open and airy lobby caught my attention. I knew as soon as I saw the lobby, I had to stay here next time I go to Palawan.

Luckily, my sister had booked Aziza Paradise Hotel for the family. It was as beautiful as I remembered it to be. As soon as I arrived, checked-in and dropped off my bags in my room, I met my family in Demeter Diner, an in-house restaurant which serves local and international food. As I sat on the pre-arranged table for twenty people, banana leaves with all sorts of seafood and rice were perfectly laid out for a feast. I couldn't stop eating the crab and mussels topped with the traditional sauce (soy sauce, onions, garlic and pepper)!

Aziza Hotel also serves free breakfast for guests. They have a good variety of food, from local to western dishes. Just outside of the restaurant is a pancake and omelette station. The cooks can create any concoction you desire. I'm not a pancake lover, but when I saw they were creating pancakes based on your favorite cartoons and characters, I was in! I had a Hello Kitty pancake made and I was amazed by the results!

I stayed in their Deluxe Room for $90/night. My favorite part is the pool, which is right in the middle surrounded by lush greenery and cute lounging chairs. Perfect, for a chill spot after a long day of traveling from El Nido. A pool bar is also available to quench your thirst! This was a great combination - sun + wifi + drink + pool.
