Cebu has always been on my places-to-go list since visiting Philippines last year.
Of course, I can't ignore the fact that the gentle giants (a.k.a whale shark or butanding) reside on this part of the island. Cebu is located in the southern part of the Philippines and an hour flight from Manila.
I stayed at the Costabella Tropical Beach Resort, which is about 20 minutes from the Mactan-Cebu airport. I was surprised by how this resort is tucked away in a small subdivision. I just did not expect a resort would be built in an area like that.
Cebu has a lot of history that involves the Spanish era and this resort is no different. The interior has spanish-style written all over it. It feels historic, but elegant at the same time.
I had everything I needed in this resort. There are two pools, a private beach, lounge area, docking area, restaurants, and car service. Personally, I wouldn't book this type of place, but I was traveling with my family this time. So, I had to relish all the amazing amenities this resort offered.
Costabella Resort accommodates very well to their visitors and the service is exceptional! You can book several in-land tours and of course, the whale shark tour in Oslob here.
Originally, I was going to reserve the whale shark tour through them, which includes the entrance fee, tour guide, van/driver, and lunch because it was easier and convenient for my family and I. However, I found out that their prices were much higher compared to hiring a private driver/van and paying the entry fee in Oslob on our own.
Their restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which range from Filipino to American food. I really enjoyed their breakfast buffet. Any place that offers an omelette bar will win me over!
I had an amazing time during my stay here. The views were breathtaking!
