I really enjoyed staying at Haus Hostel in Chiang Mai. Haus Hostel is situated in a quieter area in South Gate. Constructed about a year ago (April 2016), some taxis weren’t familiar with the hostel. This very clean hostel has everything you need to enjoy what Chiang Mai has to offer. Tons of pamphlets for any tours imaginable (i.e. cooking class, elephant sanctuary, exploring temples, etc.) and scooter rentals (200-250 Baht or $6 USD). If the information is not out for you, just ask the front desk and they'll be more than happy to help you out.
Breakfast as simple as eggs, toast, and cereal is provided. Sharing stories and tips with other travelers in their lounge area and rooftop was the best part of staying here. It’s very comfortable and feels just like a home.
