Cafe Hopping with Taipeifoodie

Taipei is known for its delicacies such as beef noodles, xiao long bao, onion pancake, oyster omelete, stinky tofu, pepper bun, dumplings and the list goes on. Not only that I love this city for its local food, but also all the cafes!  Who better to hit up than Taipei Foodie (@taipeifoodie) to take me to her favorite cafes around the city.

the antipodean coffee

An Australian inspired cafe located within a neighborhood alley of Neihu District has done it right when it comes to brunch. The Big Breakfast may look like your typical breakfast plate, but this dish is packed with savory flavors that'll leave you wanting for more.  Each ingredient stands out on its own and oh my - those mushrooms and avocado are so good! It may look like a lot of food on a plate, but it was enough to satisfy anyone's hunger without feeling like you've overeaten.

For a lighter option, there's the avocado toast topped with salmon and arugula.
Don't forget to sip on some iced drip coffee while you're at it!

untitled workshop

I give it to Untitled Workshop for having one of the most popular IG worthy backdrop in a cafe. Their pineapple backdrop is what people come here for. But their food is as good as well; perfect for afternoon tea time.

Have a latte or two and sit outside as you chill and catch up with friends. Also, try the parfait and if available, the avocado toast.

fujin tree 353

I can see why people flock to this cafe. The openness of the cafe is so inviting and brings in so much natural lighting. Circular tables are laid out in front for more of a socializing experience, while the tables inside gives more of an intimate cafe experience.

Enjoy the matcha roll along with their iced/hot drinks. The matcha roll is very moist filled with matcha cream and topped with more matcha powder. I went in for the dark brown sugar iced latte. If you're not looking for a sugar high, they also offer an array of tea.

They recently opened up a Fujin Tree Landmark in Huashan Creative Park.

one fifteen

This by far is one of my favorite out of all the cafes. One Fifteen's interior design is stunning and I'm totally in love with it! The design is intricate and each piece is so unique that it feels like it came from a magazine.

One Fifteen has the best open-faced sandwiches. Try the prosciutto + brie cheese and cured salmon open-faced sandwiches. For something more sweet and savory, try the french toast topped with fruits.

stoppage time

The minimal natural lighting inside and the outdoor cafe bar creates a great vibe for people. If a quick bite for brunch or lunch is something you're yearning for, this is the place to be. Order the avocado toast set and don't forget to try their dessert!
