Hiking The Narrows and Observation Point
Utah is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. My friends and I hiked the popular Narrows Trail and Observation Point in Zion National Park. We stayed in Kanab, Utah which is 20 minutes away from Zion National Park.
This hike is strenuous because it requires hiking through the water, where in some areas is challenging because of the current. Towards the end of the hike, the water can get up to your chest area. Be prepared when hiking through this trail! We did not go all the way to the end of the hike because you will find that this is a very long hike. We started at 8am and returned around 7pm.
I originally wanted to hike Angel's Landing due to the popularity and views. However, after doing my research and having a boyfriend that is afraid of heights, we opted for Observation Point. Although, the hike is 8 miles round trip; it is an incline for the majority of time which took about 6 hours round trip with minimal shade.
Be prepared when hiking Zion National Park. I wore dri fit clothing to keep me dry and hiking shoes with excellent grip is a plus! Read the weather conditions beforehand.
