Saigon: Cafes In District 1

I was really surprised when I found an abundance of coffee shops in Vietnam. Of course, I knew about their coveted Cafe Sua Da (Vietnamese Coffee). However, I didn't take Ho Chi Minh City as a hipster city with little cafes at every corner.

L’Usine Lê Lợi is probably my favorite cafe in Ho Chi Minh City. The cafe is on the second floor of a shop. I love the architecture and design of the place. Definitely, a place I would work and blog. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee and it didn't disappoint one bit, granted you can probably get a cheaper drink locally, but it is still much cheaper compared to U.S. prices. L’Usine also serves brunch, so it's a great place to socialize and catch up with friends.

I was especially surprised about this Starbucks because the look and feel are amazing! Usually, I expect Starbucks to look a certain way, but I was intrigued by the design of this one. The big windows and artwork give off a local cafe feeling. Of course, I would still recommend going to the local cafes, but this is a great place to see if you're a Starbucks lover.

Katinat Saigon Kafe is another place to people watch. I love their balcony seating area on the second floor. Like everything in Vietnam, you will fall in love with the big windows and open wide businesses. I had the Crazy Green Tea and Honey and Lemon Tea. Both were refreshing and delicious! Perfect pair as I watched people.
